At the end of Eclipse, Jacob runs away. Sam thinks it's only temporary; anyone would be upset if the girl they loved was getting married to someone else. But Sam feels that something else is wrong with Jacob. And Sam is right. After a long “Jacob Rescue Mission” the Quileute wolves pester Jacob into telling them what’s wrong. Reluctantly, Jacob tells his wolf friends that Bella is getting married to the bloodsucker, Edward, and will be bitten shortly after.
Sam and the other Quileutes become upset, not only are the Cullen’s breaking the treaty, but they’re going to bite Bella of all people.
And so, the Quileute wolves declare war on the Cullens for breaking the treaty, and Bella is torn between two sides. She loves Edward, but how can she give up her ‘friendship’ with Jacob?
Meanwhile, as the fight between the two sides rages on, Bella is determined to get all of her loved ones out of the town in case something gets out of hand. She’s thankful that Angela and Ben are on vacation, and Jessica is away checking out her new College. The only problem for Bella is that her mother, Renee, is coming in to Forks early to be with Bella one last time before she goes off to get married. This frightens Bella, of all people, her mother is the last person she wants to get hurt.
In addition to Renee and Phil coming to Forks for the wedding, the Denali vampires, the only other coven of vegetarian vampires besides the Cullens, are also in for the wedding early. But their reason is much different than Renee and Phil’s. The Denali vampires have heard of the broken treaty through Carlisle, and have come down to fight against the werewolves too.
With the wedding just weeks away, will Bella and Edward have to postpone it? And what’s going to happen about the fighting? Will it go so far that someone will get hurt, or worse, killed?
Too Many Thoughts. (Open) « Thread Started on Mar 5, 2008, 8:36pm »
With her legs folded in front of her, Bella sat on her bed, her eyes taking in the room that had been made hers so long ago. The walls were still the same light blue color of paint that it had been when Renee and Charlie had prepared it for her, not knowing that Bella would only get to use it every now and then when she would come to visit. Since that had been the case, Charlie had seen no real reason to alter it much except by replacing it with larger furniture for the growing girl. In all honesty, Bella had never been a large fan of the small room that seemed to have to much open space, except for the small corner that was filled with boxes for her things. Eyes landing on the boxes, Bella felt for the first time that she might actually miss her room.
The core meaning went far beyond it being her room. It symbolized her life with Charlie, one that she would soon be giving up for another rather soon. As her mind went to her father, Bella couldn’t help but wonder what he would do without her. True, he had managed to survive alone for years, but the thought of him returning to frozen dinners and steaks at The Lodge was unpleasant to her. Her mind didn’t stop there. It continued to what her father would do with the soon to be empty room that she was sitting in. Would he change it into something else or leave it as it was? For some reason, the first choice seemed unlikely to Bella. She could picture the latter better.
In a way, this was both sad and comforting at the same time. It was nice to think that Charlie would do so, showing that she was welcomed to come back if she needed to. However, it was sad because it also showed him not moving on, that he would hold onto the mental picture of a five year old Bella.
Letting out a groan, Bella laid back, her legs straightening so her feet hung over the edge of the bed as her eyes starred blankly at the ceiling. She shouldn’t be thinking about that when there were more important things to be dealt with at the moment and she pushed her previous thoughts out of her head. Her mind now mostly free of her worry, she felt her eye lids grow heavy until she could no longer keep them open and allowed them to close, letting herself slip into a nap like state.
