At the end of Eclipse, Jacob runs away. Sam thinks it's only temporary; anyone would be upset if the girl they loved was getting married to someone else. But Sam feels that something else is wrong with Jacob. And Sam is right. After a long “Jacob Rescue Mission” the Quileute wolves pester Jacob into telling them what’s wrong. Reluctantly, Jacob tells his wolf friends that Bella is getting married to the bloodsucker, Edward, and will be bitten shortly after.
Sam and the other Quileutes become upset, not only are the Cullen’s breaking the treaty, but they’re going to bite Bella of all people.
And so, the Quileute wolves declare war on the Cullens for breaking the treaty, and Bella is torn between two sides. She loves Edward, but how can she give up her ‘friendship’ with Jacob?
Meanwhile, as the fight between the two sides rages on, Bella is determined to get all of her loved ones out of the town in case something gets out of hand. She’s thankful that Angela and Ben are on vacation, and Jessica is away checking out her new College. The only problem for Bella is that her mother, Renee, is coming in to Forks early to be with Bella one last time before she goes off to get married. This frightens Bella, of all people, her mother is the last person she wants to get hurt.
In addition to Renee and Phil coming to Forks for the wedding, the Denali vampires, the only other coven of vegetarian vampires besides the Cullens, are also in for the wedding early. But their reason is much different than Renee and Phil’s. The Denali vampires have heard of the broken treaty through Carlisle, and have come down to fight against the werewolves too.
With the wedding just weeks away, will Bella and Edward have to postpone it? And what’s going to happen about the fighting? Will it go so far that someone will get hurt, or worse, killed?

Sitting Indian style Leah was sitting exactly one inch away from the drop point of the cliffs. If she was pushed forwards then she most certainly would be taking a dive. It wasn’t that cliff diving was boring but it wasn’t all that exciting either. She lay back on the ground now contemplating her options. She could always kick the TV around to make it work. Somehow that option still wasn’t good enough for her.
She clutched her clothing, old jeans and a tee shirt and made a sort of pillow out of them. She was dressed in a two piece bathing suit, nothing was special about it. It was two years old but still the same old color, black. She moved her legs and bent them up, making the bottom half of her bathing suit shift downwards. It wasn’t as if she needed a tan because her skin was already a perfect coppery gold. If she had an ipod or mp3 player she would definitely be listening to it.

Leah was not alone on that little cliff. There was a vampire there, by the name of Amy Polaris. Amy wasn't here to make trouble - she had just never seen a werewolf up close before. It made her downright curious. The Cullens had warned her about straying into La Push territory. But now that there was a 'war' going on, Amy didn't care all that much for boundaries. So here she was. And she wasn't breaking the treaty either - that treaty had been made by the Cullens specifically. They weren't allowed here, but Amy was. But she still wasn't sure what she was doing here, up by the cliffs. Perhaps it was because she had caught the sharp, strange scent of a werewolf.
She stood there, motionless, in the shadows. It was a good place for her - as it was for all vampires. Amy made a slow move, towards the werewolf. Once again, she had never seen one up close before. Only in books. And this one didn't look at all like she expected. Everything was unexpected nowadays though, so Amy didn't neccessarily care. "Hello," she greeted the werewolf in a smooth, undertone voice. She kept herself quiet - it seemed wrong to destroy the peacefulness of the cliffs here.

oOc-Sorry for the long wait. I have no Leah muse. = (
Leah ran her hands along her body, it wasn’t that she was doing anything un godlike, she was just wiping the dripping sweat that formed. It was always hot in La Push, the only thing that kept her from sweating up a storm was that she was used to this weather and that every now and then a breeze would come along to make all that sweat worthwhile. But alas, there had been no breeze for a few minutes. She sighed a deep sigh, there was no chance of relieving boredom...ever in La Push. If her car could take her to Seattle or Port Angeles, she would have headed there immediately.... The only thing kids from La Push had were black and white TV’s or cliff diving.
She sat up as she felt the dirt from the ground begin to stick to her back. She began to frivolously slap the dust that had glued onto her back with sweat when the wind came. And that was when she smelt it... She huffed the air out through her nostrils as a disgusting wretched smell filled them. Cold ones! Her eyes searched the area for where the vampire or vampires may be. With her back to the cliffs her eyes continued to search for the figure. There were may a hiding places. Her throat began to growl, making a noise only an animal could make. It didn’t matter if the figure in the shadows realized that they were making a wolf sound, they obviously knew she was a werewolf, and they knew they would be found out also. What were vampires doing in La Push? How dare they! “Come out.” She growled, giving a direct order to the vampire.
